Year 7 Team Building

May 23, 2018 is the start of the Year 8 Camp. How about the Year 7’s? . Well, in this
Writing your gonna read what are the crazy things happened in our Team Building!

What Team am I in? Ok, the Year 8’s are gone and now we are gonna see what groups/
teams are we gonna be in. Guess what team I’m in? I’m in Orange/ Team 1,  honestly at
first I thought we’re going in the Teams we’re in like Team 1 in the small kids block,
that’s what I thought because I saw mine earlier in my teacher’s laptop because I was
curios why are they’re students gathering around then it says there Team 1 leaders,
student, student,student, student then VENICE. So, yeah we made banners and a chant
in our group.

Did you guys made slime? That is the question almost everyone is asking, but the
answer is YES it’s just a FAIL(most of us) . Yes it is because it’s kind of messy and
some ingridients are gone I think because others are using it a lot, but it’s ok. In the
second day the teams that are next to make slime are the ones who mostly SUCCEED,
which really good. I honestly felt a little bit sad inside because mine didn’t make
slime, but it’s ok.

Are the games fun? It is fun but I’m kinda nervous because…

“Ok, we are playing Chair Tiggy” our teacher said. I’m nervous because of 3 reasons,
first I don’t know how to play it( but I kinda get it when we started playing *i think),
second I am NOT a fast runner and third I don’t wanna let my team down because of
me. So when it’s my turn I just ran and do my best in the game ( I was kinda scared
and pressured while playing it *laughs fakely).

What did you guys cook? So in MKR( My Kitchen Rules) we cooked pikelets, I really
enjoyed cooking because I like to cook food and I like to eat. Hilary, Sophia and Kelly
are my teammates, Sophia and Kelly are the ones who’s gonna prepare the pikelets and
Me and Hilary are the ones who’s gonna plate the pikelets. And now our FAVORITE
part is we get to eat what we cooked!

We also did water fun, minute to win it and more. It was a really fun experience and
really great oppurtunity to be part of the year 7 building. I also want to thank the
teachers who make this team building happen.

Overall this team building was really fun!

“ The Future ”

Larry and Kloe are bestfriends for 5 years. So they wondered what
can happen on The Future, “ Hey Larry! Want to go outside?” asked
Kloe. “ Sure” answered Larry, they went to the park and played for
a couple of minutes and sat on the bench near the playground. “ What
do you think will happen in the future Klo?” asked Larry
“  I don’t know, wait. How about you? What do you want to be in
the future?” “When I am an adult I will…” “You will?” “ I will
find a work that is suitable for me and save some money so when
I want to go to somewhere or I wanted to do something, I have some
savings.” he said. “ That’s genius Larry!” Kloe said “ Hehe. Thank
you”.

Springbok Tour,1981

“Springbok Tour”

Apertheid is like spliting up the people, there is like different place for them to learn and enjoy.
So what they think is why don’t they split up the rugby team, other people agreed and others
don’t.In the 1980’s, the Rugby  Union proposed a Springbok Tour for 1981. It became a topic
due to issues of the sports boycott by the other African nations. The protest polarised the
population in New Zealand , the security strengthen  after telecommunication services
disrupted. There are about 50 protestors who just invaded the pitch after pulling down the
fence which caused the game to be cancelled.  So the All Blacks didn’t tour South Africa ,
but there are no protests as political circumstances had changed.

Poverty

“Poverty”

Have you ever suffered from hunger? People in Poverty are the ones who always
suffers, especially from hunger. They are the ones who are asking why? and how?
Because they are wondering how can they get food? Is there anything they can do to
treat their children’s illness?.

How many people are living in Poverty? Is it true that a lot of people are living in
poverty. There are about 682,500 people that are living in poverty, that’s how many
people who are suffering from hunger, bad housing and poor health incomes. Imagine
the children that are included to that 682,500 people or the 220,000 children, how can
they survive in that situation? Children are the ones who are in special risk of
hardship, or the dependent ones or the ones who are under 18 years old.

Why does the people in poverty always suffered from hunger?. Have you ever think
of when you’re talking about poverty, hunger is like the number one cause of it. Food
it’s like the thing you can’t live without, who doesn’t love food? Everytime we get
hungry there is no way that you can’t eat because you know that you have food in
your bag or in your purse, because you know you can afford one or maybe more.  In
5 families who are in poverty only 1 of them are the ones who gets to eat food
properly, according to them it’s because of the lack of money.  

Why is their money not enough? Money, it is the one your parents or maybe your
love ones earn when they go to work, obviously. The people  in poverty are the ones
who can’t afford stuff that they need, like food, house and more. It is found that two-
thirds  of the families are in debt and there are three- quarters are not being able to pay
at least one regular household bill in the past year.

People in poverty has many things that they’ve been through, which are hard. I mean
like everyday your gonna think about your food, health and more.

Unconditionally Love

“Unconditionally Love”

Everyday, every minute, every second
Jake always waits his mom to come
home. When Jake was 3 his mom needs
to go to U.K for her to work, while Jake
was growing up he started to ask about his mom.

Jake’s POV

I just woke up, then my Aunt Polly called
me. “Jake! Jake! There is a package for
you!” I was so excited when I heard
that so I ran down stairs “When did it arrive?”
I said. “ A while ago” she said, I opened
the box and saw the toy I always wanted
for the long time and some new clothes! Then
inside I also saw a card saying
“I’ll come home soon..”-Mom. I can’t
believe that my mother is coming home!
My mom is coming home!.

After a few weeks, it is now Jake’s birthday
“Where’s mom?”he asked “Hey! I’m here!”
after hearing that voice Jake turned and saw
his mom! He ran to her and hugged her so

tight “I miss you Mom, so much” he said.

A Grave Mistake

   A Grave Mistake

Every night Evelyn always had nightmares about
the grave mistake she had done before. But this time
in her dream she shouted really loud because she is really
scared. She woke up in the middle of the night and saw her sister
wearing a crimson coloured dress. Her sister said
“ I frantically ran to your room because of your really
loud scream!” “ In my dream I was in a misty
room then an old lady showed me a mistake that I’ve
done before that I haven’t told anyone. I
was really scared of her” Evelyn explained

“ But, what is that mistake you’ve done before?” she asked.
Evelyn froze, tears falling from her eyes. To be continued..
